Frequently Asked Questions

Will an insert made for one saw fit a similar model from the same brand?

Not necessarily. Each insert is CNC cut to fit the saw or saws named on its product page, so check that your model appears there before you order. For example, our SawStop PCS, ICS and CNS insert does not fit the SawStop Jobsite PRO, which has its own insert. If your saw is not listed, contact us with the model number and the dimensions of your factory plate.

What is the difference between the Standard and Dado insert?

The Standard insert has a slot for the riving knife and is meant for a regular table saw blade. The Dado insert has no riving knife slot because it is designed to be used with a dado stack. Our Dewalt 12″ sliding miter saw insert is not offered in a Dado version.

Do the inserts come with the blade slot already cut?

No. All of our zero clearance inserts ship with the blade slot uncut so you can cut it to match your own blade kerf, and they work with both thin and full kerf blades. That applies to the Standard and Dado versions alike; on the Standard version only the riving knife slot comes already cut.

Do the inserts come with screws to level them with the table?

Yes, most of our table saw inserts include stainless off-set screws so you can adjust the insert height to match your saw’s table.

What are the inserts made of?

Our table saw inserts are CNC cut from 1/2″ (12.7 mm) MDF. The Dewalt 12″ sliding miter saw insert is offered in MDF or acrylic and is CNC and laser cut. We publish CAD drawings with the dimensions for most of our zero clearance inserts.

No, this is not designed for the jobsite table saw as they have different inserts. We do make a zero clearance insert for the SawStop Jobsite saw.
