Works as advertised, though the slot for the adjustment screw has to be removed for the arbor holes to line up correctly.
I have not used it yet but it looks good
Not compatible with my Milescraft track Both fit into the track, and depth of the guide. Will try to modify it. Like the idea though.
Purchased for my DeWalt DWE7480. Good fit and precision that you would expect from a CNC made product. I noted some minor chipping in the MDF around the leveling screw holes, and experienced an issue with the riving knife catching on the insert when raising the saw blade. So far, I’m only able to set my saw blade at 1″ maximum height with my original riving knife installed without having to make further modification. I’m interested in finding a modified riving knife that would match nicely with this insert. As for the minor MDF chipping, I would like to see (and would pay for) a material that’s of higher quality. Lastly, adding an option for secure attachment to the saw table would be appreciated, such as a similar design to the DWE7480 original throat plate quarter turn locking mechanism.
Pros: I was quite impressed with the build quality of this tool. it has a solid feel and fits perfectly on the router. I’ve tried it out a couple of times now, and the dust extraction is exceptional. Cutting a 1/2 groove resulted in nearly zero dust escaping.
Cons: I have pretty much every size vacuum hose there is along with tons of adapters and the 1.25″ version I got didn’t readily fit any of them. I found one that if I jam it in as far as it will go it seems to stay in place OK. My biggest complaint is that the efficient design also efficiently blocks any view of the LED-lighted bit. I’m planning on maybe cutting a viewing port and covering it with some curved acrylic.
