When I first put the plate on my Milwaukee M18 table saw, I was nervous because they didn’t quite fit. But after literally 4-5 minutes of light sanding, not only did they fit, but they fit PERFECTLY. The original throat plate that comes with the saw is made a bit loose and there is a plastic locking mechanism to hold it in place. I was worried that without that, these new throat plates would not fit snugly.
Boy – was I wrong about that! They fit so well that they go in with a tap and come out with a gentle tug and don’t move at all. So there is absolutely no need for the locking mechanism. As for value, the Milwaukee zero clearance (plastic) plate is $60 on Amazon so not only are these ToolCurve products far better quality, but much less expensive as well. As well, Milwaukee doesn’t even make dado throat plates. I’ll be getting one ToolCurve dado plate for each of my common dada widths because it’s such a great value. GREAT product. I am a very happy camper!
