Each bag is made for a specific extractor or vacuum line, and its product page names the models it fits. Where a bag comes in more than one size, pick the option that matches your vac’s tank size or model: the Dewalt bag comes in 4, 5–6, 9–12 and 14–16 gallon sizes, the Ridgid and Craftsman bag in 6–9 and 12–16 gallon, the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Nexus bag in 6 and 9 gallon, and the Fein bag in Turbo I and Turbo II. The Makita VC4210, Miele, Bosch VAC090, CT-series and CTL SYS bags each come in one size, and where the page has a compatible-models list it can name more than the title does (the Miele bag fits Classic C1, Compact C2, Complete C3 and most S series, and the CTL SYS bag also fits CTLC SYS and CTMC SYS). Can I use a Macam bag for concrete or plasterboard dust?

We do not recommend it. Macam makes these bags for dry dirt, wood chips, sawdust and general debris: the Dewalt, Ridgid and Craftsman, Milwaukee and Fein listings say the bag is not suitable for concrete or decorator dust, and the Makita, CT 26, CT 36, CT 48, CT MINI / MIDI and CT15 listings say the bag’s life will drop significantly if it is used mainly for concrete or plasterboard dust. None of the bags is meant for dust that is hazardous to health.

How long does a reusable bag last, and how do I know when it is full?

Each bag can be used up to 500 times, so one bag replaces up to 500 disposable filter bags. Treat it like any other collector bag: you will usually notice suction dropping off as it fills, and we check ours every few weeks depending on how much material goes through it. The bags are made for dry dirt, wood chips, sawdust and general debris; using one mainly for concrete, plasterboard or decorator dust will shorten its life significantly, and the Dewalt, Ridgid and Craftsman, Milwaukee and Fein bags are listed as not suitable for that dust at all.

Do Macam dust bags count toward free shipping?

No. Macam bags are a third-party brand we carry, and only ToolCurve-made products count toward the $75 free-shipping threshold, so a bag ordered on its own ships at the paid rates shown at checkout. If the ToolCurve-made items in the same order reach $75 by themselves, the whole order still ships free. Four of the bags (Miele, Bosch VAC090, CT 48 and CTL SYS) are in our priority shipping class, which adds $3 to the standard rate.
