  1. Would be a 5 but the insert doesn’t secure to the table (unless I’m doing something wrong). This is only an issue making the initial cut, but it would be nice to have that as a feature. Will definitely get it again when it’s time to replace!

  2. Purchased for my DeWalt DWE7480. Good fit and precision that you would expect from a CNC made product. I noted some minor chipping in the MDF around the leveling screw holes, and experienced an issue with the riving knife catching on the insert when raising the saw blade. So far, I’m only able to set my saw blade at 1″ maximum height with my original riving knife installed without having to make further modification. I’m interested in finding a modified riving knife that would match nicely with this insert. As for the minor MDF chipping, I would like to see (and would pay for) a material that’s of higher quality. Lastly, adding an option for secure attachment to the saw table would be appreciated, such as a similar design to the DWE7480 original throat plate quarter turn locking mechanism.

  3. Insert arrived and fit perfectly, but without a cut slot for the sawblade. This may be standard, so I assumed I had to make the cut myself. Did so, but slowly raising the 10″ blade to its maximum height, I broke the front edge of the riving slot already cut in the insert a bit in order to fit my riving knife which rose higher than the insert slot made room for. No big deal, but left me wondering . . .
